  • What's something a guest did that made you stop inviting them over?

For me, it was bringing someone I'd never met without asking, then acting like I was weird for being uncomfortable. I don't mind having people over, but a quick "Can I bring a friend?" would've been nice. What happened with yours??
  • primcessmahina Kept talking about how small our home was, kept repeating that it was nice "for a trailer," and said next time we should go to her house because her son "actually has outdoor toys." Our son had just started walking the month prior and didn't need outdoor toys. She knew we were in a trailer to save up for a house.

  • Over-Marionberry-686 OK, many years ago I invited my friend and Will call her Rebecca over. Spaghetti night no biggie. She brought a friend. No biggie. End of the night and I'm wandering around, saying goodbye to people and I wandered to the kitchen and her friend has packed up all the leftover spaghetti sauce, all the

  • Oculas_Spectaculas My friend brought her husband to a girl dinner party. They came a little early and some of the food was already on the table as we were finishing up. I saw him reach under the plastic wrap and grab two of my handmade egg rolls. I told him we're not eating yet

  • because guests still wouldn't be expecting for a while. He just kinda shrugged. The next thing I know, I spot the plastic wrap just tossed ob the table and he's sitting on the couch with the plate of egg rolls. He ate the entire thing (including putting one in his shirt pocket) and still had the full meal.

  • TheSpiralTap My wife has an older family member with low sanitary standards. We had them over for a holiday dinner. This woman reached into a sink of dirty dishes, pulled out a knife with food on it and proceeded to put it in my jar of mayonnaise to make a sandwich.

  • I tried to redirect and get her a clean knife before it made contact with my precious mayonnaise but she said "oh this is fine". Dear readers, it was not fine. Had to throw that sit away.

  • Coffee Grass She wanted to visit my mom's city. I told her, "Mom being old and not having enough energy for guests, we could only have her for a week tops." They bought a nonrefundable ticket for 17 days, came in empty-handed, expecting

  • Plumb789 A work colleague came to a Christmas do of mine. She waited until I had left the room to fix drinks, then went round my room (she must have done it at some speed) blowing out all my candles. (I had candles lit everywhere, along with fairy lights-the place looked magical).

  • She had, I heard, previously turned all the electric lights on (all my side lamps and overhead lights-even my super-bright craft lamp). I walked back into the room to see all my guests standing around in embarrassed silence, blinking in the bright light, with the smell of snuffed candles filling the air.

  • "Oh, I had to put the lights on", she said. "It was SO DARK. You couldn't see anything" (it wasn't). "Why did you blow all the candles out?" "Oh, they weren't necessary- and were a fire risk". Is it you not.

  • omgkelwtf Left their BO on an upholstered over stuffed chair. They'd sat in it sideways with their arm draped over the back cushion in such a way that their armpit was against it. I didn't realize what had happened until just after they left and I noticed my living room

  • smelled absolutely foul. It took so much work to get the smell out bc I have a parrot and couldn't just spray it with febreeze. I sold it cheap a few months later when I moved. The BO chair was not coming with me.

  • Winter-Yogurt-4209 Kept trying to pet my cat that clearly did not want to be petted on many occasions. Took five band aids to mend one of them, and the cat was in a bad mood all week and now gets aggressive when she sees that person so we don't have them over because frankly my cat is more important than my mother.

  • AppleOllie We had friends who found rel gion. Each to their own, no bother. But they spent the whole night telling us how the earth was 6000 years old, the dinosaurs were washed out by the flood, and the grand canyon was only put there to 'test your faith'. These were just a pick of many. Never invited them again
